DAISUKE SHINODA

Composer / Arranger

Daisuke Shinoda started playing the piano and performing in a brass band at an early age.
During junior high school, Shinoda began playing the guitar and composing music.
After graduating from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a degree in composition and completing its graduate school, Shinoda began his professional career focusing on commercial music production. Since then, he has composed and arranged music for film, television, animation, commercials, and games, as well as many orchestral arrangements for concerts and recordings.
In 2020, Shinoda received the "Outstanding Music Award" at the 43rd Japan Academy Prize (for the soundtrack of the movie "LISTEN TO THE UNIVERSE "). Shinoda was an additional arranger for the soundtrack of the animation movie "SAYONARA, TYRANNO [Director: Kobun Shizuno, Music: Ryuichi Sakamoto]" released in 2021, and his work was highly acclaimed by Sakamoto.
Shinoda’s projects with traditional Japanese instruments have been focused on NHK FM's traditional music program "HOGAKU HYAKUBAN" and are expected to break new ground in the world of contemporary Japanese music.
Shinoda is a composer capable of creating various music using computer-based electronic sounds, extensive use of live Japanese instruments, and sounds created through his guitar playing.
